I'm SELLING My AMG GT R Pro! The LAST DRIVE Before it's Gone

The time has come, I'm selling my AMG GT R Pro! After nearly 2 years and lots of fun, with the recent arrivals of the two Black Series cars, it's time for the Pro to head on and here are the reasons why I've made that decision, despite considering to keep it.

I collected the limited edition Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro back in late 2019, as an update to my then 2-year old pre-facelift AMG GT R and with intentions to enjoy on track during 2020. However, those outings to Spa, Zandvoort, Ascari and Portimao could not happen with the travel restrictions that quickly came in, but fortunately some good Nurburgring outings were still on the cards.

The Pro has often been a misunderstood car because it's very track focused and really rewards you in that environment. It was very interesting to do some laps in the GT R Roadster more recently and realise quite how significant the difference is. However, while I'd love to keep the 1-of-750 car, with some many AMGs in the garage at the moment it's quite a stretch and hence the decision has been made for it to be sold.

Hence, join me for the last drive, a bit of a farewell to a great car, as it will soon head onwards to a new home to be enjoyed by a new owner.

In the garage for nearly two years, it's incredible how quickly that time has flown by. More track time would have been perfect but 2020 didn't exactly go to plan and now with the arrival of the GT and C63 Black Series models it's time for the Pro to depart. It'll be sad to see it go!

Thank you Tim for taking the time to bring light to what is happening in Germany. I've been posting to everyone that has done laps around the ring to try and get more people talking about it. Misha and the Apex family have been working hard to help everyone. I'm so happy I started watching him and I don't think I would have if it would t have been for Shmee so thank you. Was your place in Germany affected at all?

I also wish that I could go over to Germany to help in any way possible, Tim. I have followed the story on Micha's channel since it broke and each upload is more worrying than the previous. The work that Micha and Apex are doing in the cleanup effort is just amazing along with everyone else and the emergency services. The camaraderie and teamwork of the people from the Eifel area is a wonder to behold and should act as a model for other nations to follow.

I guess my feedback would be - none of the other AMG’s come close to the Red Roadster, if Jessica Rabbit was alive today she’d be driving one. To me it’s the sweet spot, more money = less appealing car.

I actually sat in a GTR Pro at Goodwood FoS 2019. Loved that grey/lime combo but I was a little too big for the bolstering on those seats.

Hey Tim when the restrictions ease off please plan a trip to India you will be amazed by some amazing roads and landscape and also recently India opened the Asia's largest test facility with 11 km oval high-speed track
