Jessica's anxiety behind the wheel turns her into a dangerous and stressed-out driver. Comedian Nick Stevens and the Driver Rehab team will try to break her of her anxiety in one day and teach her to safely enjoy the road.

If they're selected as candidates for rehabilitation, host Nick Stevens sets an ambush before turning them over to professional driving instructors. The instructors then work to transform them into world-class—or at least decent—drivers before we administer an advanced driving test. Pass or fail—there is no other option.

I don’t think a lot of people understand this at all. It’s not that she can’t actually drive the car. She can! It’s just that her anxiety of crashing into someone and killing them makes her so nervous it’s clouds her judgement and decision making skills. Anxiety is root of the problem not the fact that the car is an automatic or a manual. When she learns to deal with her anxiety then there is nothing stopping her from driving a car. If you’ve never experienced a high level of anxiety in your life you wouldn’t understand. It’s a real problem and it’s not something you should be making fun of.

I don't find either her boyfriend or the host very supportive and extremely judgmental. If they were not in the car, I am certain her anxiety would have been reduced immediately.

I wish people wouldn't think this is funny. She took all the jokes well but this is a real problem. I have drivers anxiety and I can't help it but have extreme anxiety the entire time. It has made my life extremely stressful because I find myself relying on other people and am not able to live a normal adult life. I often get frustrated that I can't just do everyday things that people do on a daily basis. I've tried to get my license around 4 times due to my family pressuring me to get it. and have failed everytime. I am 20 and my younger brother has to drive me to work. This is serious and has a major affect on my life.

Part of her problem is the size of the vehicle, which is ridiculously large for someone that lacks confidence.

Half her problem is the passenger sitting beside her telling her what she should be doing next. There's nothing worse than a backseat driver when you are already anxious. She may not be a good driver, but while her partner is sitting beside her, she isn't going to get any better

Why do they continually bring her anxiety up? Throwing a snake on her lap, a clown in the car...they point is to _lower_ her anxiety, not teach her to make good decisions while being anxiec.

It's New York >_< that's definitely not an easy place to drive or even learn to drive in for that matter..I don't blame her for being nervous, those drivers are nuts

Aida: Throwing a snake on Jessica's lap so unexpectedly--besides getting her heart rate up--could have caused her to have a really serious accident ! I don't think that was wisest thing to do !

Im literally like this and people always tell me to just drive more often and they don't understand it at all. Like some people just aren't built to drive also the thought that cars are potential death cages just never escapes my mind when it comes to other drivers on the road around me. Like you have to put so much trust in yourself and everyone on the roads..

I used to be the most relaxed and vigilant driver when I first got my license. People felt so comfortable riding with me, but then my anxiety worsened in all areas of my life and now I can’t even park right. It sucks

I also have driver's anxiety. I totally feel what the girl is going through in the video. I was pushed to get a driver's license because my dad was always at work and I needed to drive to get my siblings and I anywhere since we live really busy lives. But whenever I was on the road I always felt anxious and overwhelmed that I realized that I shouldn't be on the road for the sake of others' safety and my own. My mental health did play a role on decision-making skill and judgments while on the road. It was really bad for me that I'd rather walk than drive ever.

I got like this after a plane crash... I couldn't drive without freaking out. I felt like I was about to loose control any moment. My hands would cramp from gripping the wheel. I got over it... but it took alot of relaxing exercise
