I love how it goes into great detail about the basics and them immediately skims over the solution.

Looks like they never showed how to replace missing media. SOLUTION: drag the new media down to the timeline and over the missing file clip and one of the options will be “replace missing media”. This retains the edit points! Because these tutorials are two years old I’m not sure if this is a new feature. To Lumafusion: if you haven’t already done so please make a video showing this solutions!

Thanks for the tips, Joseph. One tip from this end though. You’re packing a lot of info into the sections where you are sitting in the chair, however when you get to the screen views and tell us you are clicking a button the clip is run so quickly that I’ve had to scrub back up to half a dozen times to see which button you’re actually choosing. Please slow that down so we can see where you are clicking the first time, either that or make your highlight circles a brighter colour. The blue blends in too much and does not act as a highlighter at all.
Great tips, but it would be nice to catch what you’re doing the first time through, and pausing on the button you are pressing would really help.

So basically I have to re edit the entire video? Is there a way to just re link the clips so they are cut and trimmed the way it was in the timeline before the media got disconnected. Or, do I have to cut and trim the clips all over again? (Because the would not really be a “relink” it would just be importing it again.)

Hello! Can you please help me? I don’t know who to ask. I have uploaded some videos to YouTube and they have alerted me to using copyright music that I got in lumafusion (I have a subscription every month I pay to use it) and I thought the music was all copyright free. One got a content creation red flag and another a copyright. I don’t understand. I thought all the music was available to use with my subscription and completely free of copyright. Thanks for your help!

So you then had to drag that clip back into the timeline? If you just use a portion of the clip, or in my case I may use many smaller clips within the main clip, does it divide the clip up for you again? If you save/export the project as a LumaFusion Project Package, do you ever have to worry about missing clips. Also, are you saying that every time my Photos library changes, it re-scans itself, like if I add more photos or video into it?

I am using cinematic mode when recording with the iphone. When I want to change the f-stops I need to do that within the photo library of iOS. However those changes won’t be updated in the timeline of LumaFusion. How can I do that?

So basically if you have missing media you literally have to re-edit it inside the project all over again... There's got to be a way to make that easier, goodness.

I'm sitting here looking at an hour long documentary that used a clip for half of it that has to be inserted all over again.

Can't there be a way to find the missing media and link it back to its original file?

I had imported a clip from Google Drive, and after hours of work and finishing the edit, the video wouldn't upload.. Then I tried optimizing and it said I was missing the media (the imported video I had brought from Google Drive) which was still there.. so then I saved the actual video to my phone and tried again, still wouldn't link to it.. any idea how to get it to link? I do not want to drag and drop the clips as it would take hours to re-do

Is there a way to disable this caching? I manage my own video library (not using icloud ) so there's no danger off having the videos deleted. I don't like the way lumafusion basically duplicates the files filling up my phone storage.

So question, since Lumafusion 2.0 now allows you to edit directly from an external drive, do those files, which used to live on the iPad, now live in the folders which you extracted them from on the SDD and are no longer transferred to the iPad?

Missing several clips from a project I’m working on. I suspect its because of iOS16

I stored clips on my flash drive but now Lumafusion isn’t recognizing anything in my timeline or my flash drive yet the flash drive is showing up fine in the “files app”

Hi I am stressing. I have deleted the unused cache files because I thought it was unused but now my timeline is glitching and it's saying source media not found. My timeline still has all my edits so I'm really hoping I can just re link the media...

Hi! It’s there a way to change the cache path, like external hard drive, I have 16 gigas iPad :(, I can’t import all my files from 45 minutes from my gopro for example. Thanks!

Why do I always think this guy should have a pipe and smoking jacket on while sitting on that chair?

This wasn’t very helpful. I cleaned up unused media and it deleted clips from my timeline!
