In this step-by-step Power Apps tutorial, you'll learn how to build an approval process with customized approval forms directly within Power Apps.

Gain full control over the approval and user input form experience in PowerApps. We'll customize form control to dynamically set approval status, assign the user's manager as approver, and track approval history. You'll also learn how to send approval email notifications directly from Power Apps and add deep links to the approval form screen.

We'll design an expense request approval process with SharePoint List as a data source, all within Power Apps.

Yeah TY for the deep links parameters. That's good stuff right there.

Nice touchpoints on the deep links params as well as send email action directly from PowerApps! No PA required. 🎉

I believe there was a move away from using inbuilt forms in Power Apps but things now look to be swinging back to using them with Modern controls. Does look to be a LOT easier than plugging in 100s of text/input/dropdown/combo boxes manually. As always, thanks for sharing Reza 💥💥💥💥💥💥

Another great video! Thank you very much for this.
I would like to do the same scenario with Word documents from a document library. Is this even possible or is the approach wrong?

Well done Reza, this is really helpful. Could you please create a tutorial on how to configure forms that allow users to add and delete items from a list, and then save those changes in SharePoint?

Thank you, Reza. This was very helpful and informative. How do we know that the Office 365 Users connector would pull the correct managers? Would I be able set up approvers as a people picker instead?

Hi Reza, very nice and helpful video. Quick question: in my list I have a multi line text column used for comments but its value in the power app datacard field is not displayed. Have you any idea why? Many Thanks

Is there a way to automate sequential approvals through a certain level? For example, I have some employees submitting that need approval from 2 managers and some that are have 3 managers before it ultimately goes to the COS for final review by the VP.

I have learned a lot from this, thank you. I have an honest question though: why not use the built in Approvals from Microsoft 365?

Do you know when Modern Controls will have people picker?
It looks great but it is lacking so many features the classic controls offer and it is frustrating to build apps and deploy without knowing the future of PowerApps.
