Hostin joins executive producer Brian Teta to recap today's interview with Democratic presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris. I am a nurse who is the only care giver with my parents who are 80. It is not easy sometimes. I need a lot of mental support sometimes so kudos to this idea.

I was a CNA for over 20 years I worked in assisted living, nursing homes and when I was older I did home care. What an amazing help financially for many elderly people. I also took care of my mom before she passed. All this while taking care of 3 children. I don’t have a lot of money and you don’t get paid a lot for that job but what I got out of it was priceless.

I been there takings care my dad, raised my son and worked full time. It wasn’t easy. I am so excited that there is help coming for the next generation. No one should have to walk in my shoes alone.

I understand about taking care of parents. I took care of all three of my parents. I moved back to Indiana to take care of my mom; she passed away at the end of 2018. Next, I had to take care of her husband, my
stepfather . He passed away in 2020 and finally I took care of my biological father who lived to be 96 years old. He just recently passed away in April of this year. I don't even remember how I got through it; juggling money, hiring help with the little money they had available and me trying to financially fill in the gaps, all while trying to continue working and move my career forward. It's so hard; sometimes feeling impossible. People need help. Medicare covering in- home care would have been a God send!

Love these podcasts - every one captures the strength of the women of The View and Brian does a great job of moderating the discussion.

I love watching the podcasts after the show. I watch from NZ and it helps me understand the American process, so different from our own. I will give you 5 stars Brian.

I’m 72. I had to take care of my mom, my dad and my step mom while raising my kids and then grand kids over a long period of time. Of course we had to manage on one income- there was no way to work and care for terminal cancer patients. Sandwich care is not new. It really killed me to find out back in the day that a caregiver could get 15 dollars an hour for doing a fraction of what I did for nothing, and worse yet they couldn’t do it independently, they had to go through a company who got paid twice that much, but my toil was worth nothing - and still is. Family caregivers should get credit for their work. It should affect social security. If the service industry counts than home care should

I'm loving this podcast series with Brian ❣❣❣ I don't have to hear all the cross-talking, talking over, interruption as is getting more often on the main program & Brian is so good in conducting these "mini chat session", exploring in more depths on various issues. 👏👏👏
