In the USA they're doing everything possible to ban them, in europe all you have to do in most countries is have a proof that it's been unregistered in japan, and convert the headlights for right lane driving, not even mentioning Piaggio and other manufacturers who have been making licensed LHD kei trucks for the EU market

The lack of bed length is reason 1 why I do not want and have not bought a recently built Ford. My project truck is a 1972 Ford F250 Camper Special Sport Custom. Can't wait for the machine shop to get done with rebuilding the engine

Toyota made headlines recently by announcing their new, actually affordable, truck they plan on releasing in the US market and it’s literally a modern kei truck. Almost every dude I’ve spoken to says he loves those kei trucks. They aren’t unsafe like some state governments are saying in able to ban them from being registered for road use in many states.
The only reason we buy and drive those huge trucks is because over time our options have been taken away and banned, leaving us with just a few trucks in one basic size. It’s all due to corporate greed and Corruption in government.

Kei trucks are the trucks from the 60s and 70, two door simplistic work trucks. Modern trucks are the station wagons of the same time period, lots of seating room and packed with amenities that a work truck just doesn't need. Modern trucks are also getting so big they are a bitch to drive while Kei trucks are as small as some American compacts and still have a truck bed.

One thing that Kei trucks don't have that modern trucks do us towing power. I don't think a Kei truck will do too well hauling my 20' bay boat but my F150 does it with no issues

I own a suzuki "multicab" it does everything i could ask of it. True, its no powerhouse, but it has 4 wd with hi/lo gets excellent mpg .
I couldnt praise it more
