DIY Zero Clearance Insert For Miter Saws **EASY UPGRADE

Показать описание
Today we upgrade our Bosch Glide Miter Saw with a zero clearance insert plate. You will save a lot of money doing this yourself and it will help your cut quality over the stock one. I recommend doing this for anyone getting a miter saw or if you have one already, upgrade your insert plate ASAP. Every miter saw is different but most of the build will apply to yours as well. Enjoy the video, leave any questions below.

Why the hell he's searching for the push stick while 2s later he’s pushing the material with his (currently remaining five) fingers directly into the saw blade? Weird.

Nice tutorial. You kept it simple and to the point.

I made a ZCI for my 12-inch Bosch and went to the extra effort to make the center of it replaceable by plowing out a sliding dovetail channel that will receive a piece of 1/4-inch ply or hardboard. I don't have to replace it often but it is handy if you're like me and occasionally get sloppy and deflect the axial arm on a cut or if you do occasional compound miters.

I made 5 or 6 center replacements so if a need one it's just a couple minutes to replace it instead of the 30 minutes or so it would take to remake the entire ZCI, and that would be IF I happen to have the 1/2-inch Baltic birch to do it on hand. My closest source is 45 minutes away. When I get down to my last center replacement it will just be a few minutes of setup on the table saw to make several more.

Forgot you push stick.
Took the time to find it.
Still puts hand directly over the blade.

But why?
I own the same Bosch Professional but then the new 18v but if you look good you see that you don't have to make a zero clearance insert because with this saw you can adjust the original inserts to zero....

A little bit of concern. When you were cutting your piece on the table saw. You had your blade up to high. Should only have your teeth showing. It cuts way better and fast. Your fingers and your wrist got so close.

This is a cool youtube video. I found on safety tips.

Why bother making a video if too lazy to use the right tools?
