Anyways today we are looking at Huckberry's flannel lined waxed trucker jacket. I'm giving it the full treatment. So, is it the best waxed jacket? Well, depends on if you factor in price or not. Until then, we’re here to tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about the best clothing out there, from the highest quality raw denim jeans to the warmest jacket to the sturdiest boots…the Iron Snail has got you covered. (written by Taylor, though Michael is sometimes known to talk about himself in the third person… xoxo)

This is what Pedro Pascal wears in The Last of Us... Now if you will excuse me I have to say goodbye to $300...

I've had mine for 3+ years and it's everything you want from a waxed canvas lined jacket: waterproof (to date), comfortable and cool looking, and warmish. Together with the great price point and its timeless appeal, this is my favourite all round jacket that only looks better the more I wear it.

I got one off eBay a couple of years ago and the lining is 100% cotton flannel. Wish they’d left it that way. I think many folks would pay slightly more for that. A premium line is a great idea. This has been my go to rain jacket since I bought it and finally due for a re-wax. Worn mostly casually but also for hiking, chopping wood and other light work applications. I love that thing. Only downside is the older versions also didn’t have the phone pocket. I’m planning on having my tailor put one in probably this year.

Nice work on the video as always! Congrats on the success of your first jacket! Keep it up!

HI! So I see that Huckberry does have a wool BUT I figured it was totally discontinued because it's sold out all the time...I'll check in with my contacts and update this comment!

I have this jacket, and love it. Originally got a large but my shoulders are a little wide and it was tight in the armpits. Got an xl and had it tapered (44 chest, 33 waist) and it’s perfect. Gets better every time I wear it.

So...something he says around the 7:15 mark cracks me up, & as a 49yo old man, here's some wisdom. Paying $500 for a jacket vs. $250 or so has almost no intrinsic value added...i.e. the more expensive jacket won't magically last longer because of this & that fancy-lad crap bespoke reasoning. You know you're just gonna move on to the next cool jacket when it comes out anyhow, & your hands are soft, because they don't ever get dirty, so don't worry about your clothing lasting a super long time, because in spite of what you'll say, you will not buy once & cry once...you will buy infinite times & never cry because you enjoy buying cool stuff that makes your heart happy. Just say that, just say you're spending a lot of money on high end clothing items that you don't need because you young people no longer choose to have children & therefore have nothing but mountains of disposable income. One last thing, please get the hell off my lawn, I just mowed & raked. OK, I guess there's another thing after the one last thing...My oldest son & I love this channel & I too have stupid jackets I don't need because I love fancy stuff that's made in the places I'd prefer them to be made in, & while my hands are rough & callused, never is when I will subject any of my cool clothes to any abuse, because I have thrift shop clothes for that, my fancy stuff stays fancy, that's just the way it goes.

I like mine. Good spring/fall jacket. I agree a lined and/or bigger inside pocket would be nice. The waxed pocket smudge glasses and sunglasses.

Great video, I love how you broke down the fabric, lining and why we should not wash, which a lot of videos don’t explain

Lovely! I can tell you why the Huckberry jacket is so popular, and not being crass. It's affordable, and available. Unlike Filson, (expensive and sell out quick) is just better, not the best but very nice. I have both Filson colors and wear them often. I just picked up a Tobacco Motowear / Pack Animal Bridger Jacket and I really love it. Definitely my new favorite. Happy to hear how fast you sold out!

Love the jacket and the feel. I have the lines jacked and love it without a doubt. Made & Sourced in the USA…All day. The value is excellent. 6’0” 200 and I love it. Not to stiff at all, great feel and look.

Just incase anyone sees this and is disappointed at the lining, now for $60 more you can get one with a wool rich lining

He mentioned something about a wool cruiser that he'll be making. ✨excited ✨ for that

They do also offer a wool-lined version btw. I have owned my flannel-lined since November. my main gripes are that i wish that there was a chest pocket on both sides or not at all for symmetry. Also, I wish that the inner lining was color neutral without those yellow stripes as it can take away from your outfit if the yellow is not complimentary. Additionally, it would have been nice to have a lining inside of the front side pockets as to allow for more comfort and insulation during cold weather.

Looks really good! I love my barbour jacket too. I picked one up in England and got the only model still actually made in the UK and not in Eastern Europe.

I purchased an unlined one from Gustin. Made in the US for $150, it’s a great looking jacket. With Gustin you just have to have patience with their crowd sourcing platform.

Hi Michael, I have just discovered your channel and I am really enjoying it. Being English, I have always tended towards Barbour; however, having seen your video, I recently ordered the wool-lined field tan version (there were only 2 left, and both were in my size 😁) from Huckberry, and it is now a firm favourite of mine.

You can rewax these which will enhance water resistance but may make the fabric look slicker. 5 minutes inside out in a dryer will make the jacket look like new.

I looked at this but it's too similar to my Kuhl jacket that I've had (and love) for years. I did, however, order their Relwyn waxed CPO jacket with the sherpa lining and it's REALLY nice. Well worth the price.
