I know a lot of people are saying that they are surprised by this, but I it's a very calculated move, because in the coming years there is expected to be a lot of government subsidies handed out to the improve and expand home broadband services... I will also expect TMobile to be very selective about the areas in which their Fiber service is offered... It may exist, but won't exist in many places... I expect them to stick to a leasing model, which helps to better manage the overall future budget plans... However, offering a home Fiber broadband will allow TMobile to stick their hand out and receive some of the government offered assistance in the coming years... They are smart for doing this, for sure.... 👍

T-Mobile will not be a big player in residential fiber. In most markets there is no fiber to lease. AT&T and Verizon are not going to lease their fiber. T-Mobile is not going to put in their own infrastructure.
