Installing Sill Plates And Floor Joist Layout

As we continue to build we finally made it to the part where we start using wood! This may not seem like a big deal, but it means the house is going to start going together faster, and it is a medium that I have experience and am comfortable with!

No sill seal between ur concrete and sill board?

Use a bigger drill bit. One size larger than the bolts.

I have seen the comments about the sill plate insulation. I think you are eventually going to regret not springing for a rubberized sill plate strip. Spray foaming the edges wont do the trick

Was the shimming for your sill plates due to the concrete not being completely level?

Good video...just 2 observation:
1.- Your anchor bolt are all rusted...invest a bit more on non rusted material.
2.- I see no sealant barrier between concrete and Sill Plate.

How are you going to level up the sill plate with that sloppy concrete work ?

Normal people with aspirations to tackle an enormous project like this have to have to look at the big picture, and not get set back by minor bumps in the road.
