*3:11* Bret referred to no one attempting to see if his eyes could track movements. Thank goodness Bret survived a stroke and so much more. He mentioned in his book, "My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling, " that while he was in the ICU just after he had his stroke, he has "blurry memories" of his first wife Julie and his children around him and of his youngest son Blade tearfully saying, "You're the best dad that ever was!" It was very sad how his career ended yet his children could have lost their dad. Now Bret has grandchildren. He's a survivor and an inspiration.

“this guy makes Vader look like Shawn Michaels.” Funny that this was post Montreal Screwjob and long before the eventual reconciliation with Shawn. Even after all that happened, he always gave Shawn credit for being a good worker.

I wish we got more matches from Bret. The guy was an artist, all the times I've seen interviews with wrestlers saying their best match was with Bret.. from Mr Perfect, British Bulldog, Stone Cold Steve Austin and more.. yet Goldberg is still wrestling, making maximum money for part time work. Bret never hurt a single guy in the ring, the worst he hurt anyone was when he punched Vince and pulled out Shawns hair :D

Sounds like Bret Hart is lucky to be alive. It's amazing how little we knew or cared about concussions back then. I had a concussion 5 years ago and I'm still getting over it. I had a similar experience, no one took it seriously, people even made fun of me because they thought I was "faking" an injury. If you turn up with a broken arm, no one would ever say that.

I guess this interview was before his stroke. He still seems relatively happy enough at this point, despite the screw job/Owen’s death, and the career ending injury. The stroke was the final nail in his coffin of happiness. Poor guy.

The look on undertaker's face after his match with Bill says it all.

A match with Andre would have tuned Goldberg right up

Bret Hart was my and my younger brothers favourite wrestler. He’s still special for us. Our childhood hero. 🤘🥇

Life lesson. Before taking a new job with better pay, look past the money and study the company and employees. Bret showed us that money isn't everything.

My father and uncle's were all independent wrestlers here in the state of Kentucky with very little fanfare besides one cousin but even watching this match as a youngster I knew the technique for the figure 4 was wrong on Goldberg's part. That leverage is a must

The greatest of all time in and out the ring.

I love Bret hart. He made wrestling real. He made the championship real not just a prop. I kills me that Goldberg (a dude I think was cool) could end Hart’s career like that.

Living with post concussion syndrome is hell. It’s been six years for me 😢

I feel bad for The Hitman. He mixed it up with the wrong wrestler. Too bad he didn't have the insight to just walk out after that first elbow. Such a dangerous profession. Just goes to show your life hangs by a thread every time that you step in the ring and hear that bell ring.

It’s sad hearing Russo and Bret both ask Bill not to hurt them. Makes me look at Goldberg in a different way.

The guy wasn’t nicknamed “Greenberg” for nothing.
