"Hulk Hogan only had ideas for Hulk Hogan. And the only idea he had for Hulk Hogan, was Hulk Hogan wins everything."

Bret: 'How about I just take a shit in the middle of the ring?'
Bischoff: 'I LOVE IT'

I love seeing Bret’s work being celebrated so much nowadays. If you listen back he was always focused on being remembered for being great at what he did.

Bret’s “I love it” hits like a comedy stand up punchline.

How did WCW blow a massive Bret vs Sting angle? It’s still mind blowing

I met Mr. Hart in Alaska around 2018 or 2019 at a wrestling event and meet & greet. The experience was great.
I had a real eye to eye contact with him and really got his attention and gave him a good handshake then told him thank you for what he did as a wrestler and entertainer and that I lost my father almost 20 years ago and he and I would watch some good matches and that he (Bret) was my favorite wrestler of all time and such an honor to meet him. So as I sat to get a picture on my phone for some stupid reason it wouldn't work and I said to him no worries that meeting him and shaking his hand was good enough and I was so in the moment that I forgot my good friend was there and said he'd take a picture for me and Bret insisted so I got my picture taken with him 😊
As I went back to the bleachers and as I watched the line shorten I remembered that they were selling both a picture and his bad ass shades and I really wanted them but I only had $20 left to my name. But I had been joking with the security guard that was standing at the spot to get down to where Bret and the other wrestlers were so I asked if he would let my slid on back down before they finished and I wasn't sure if he would but he did and when I got to where he has there were about five people left so I started a conversation with his son (nice young man) and as the last person finished I caught Mr. Hart getting out of his seat and again made eye contact and asked if he remembered me on line. He told me had with a true honest look in his eye and I thanked him again and asked about the photo and what it cost. So he sat back down and told me to talk to a guy behind me (watching the whole time) and the man told me $40 for a photo and $20 for the shades. So I all of sudden put a bit of awe bummer look on my face because I really wanted a photo but smiled and said "well I'll take the shades then, who do I pay". So the man points to Brett's son. I turn around give his son $20 and turn back to Bret and as I turn around I see him signing a picture for me handing both glasses and signed photo, smiles at me and what looked like a little here you go wink and told me thank you. I'll treasure that moment for as my mind is alive 🥲
When the introduced him half way through the show he mentioned something in the fact of meeting fans he great encounters with and he wouldn't forget. I felt like I was quit possibly one of those great fans 😌😏
Thank you again Mr. Hart to you and your family 💖
Hitman strong 💪💔😏

Benoit, Booker, Mysterio - a series with any one of those guys would’ve been AMAZING.

Everyone thought that when Brett went to WCW that it was going to be the end of the WWF but in reality, WCW had no idea how to use Bret which was worse than not having him there at all.

I think the mistake they made with Bret was having him join the nWo. He could have gotten over as a big face. They could have had him come in, cut a promo on "up north" and then talk about how much he respected WCW for old time wrestling. He then could have said the nWo were a group of guys that want to destroy tradition in wrestling, like up north (because basically nWo was like code for WWF and sports entertainment). He could have laid out a challenge to any nWo member for a match next week. Then he could have started with easy wins over Vincent and then gotten up to mid cards with run-ins in matches with Buff, etc. Eventually leading to feuds with Hall and Nash and eventually Hogan at a Starcade. But of course, those guys wouldn't do that.

People don’t realize that Bret, as a young wrestler was booking Stampede Wrestling for his father. He would journal the angles and figured out what worked and what didn’t. There are valid reasons why Bret can see a bad angle or potential for doing good business with talent. Let’s not forget he pitched the Ladder Match, his storyline with Owen Hart, he pitched his Canadian Hero angle, and he pitched his match with Davy Boy Smith in Wembley. Hulk Hogan v. Bret Hart would have been money, but additionally he could have had great matches with Benoit, Scott Hall, Lance Storm, Mike Awesome, over the US title, or for the World Title with Kevin Nash, Booker T, Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett, Sting, Ric Flair, Sid Viscious, etc.

So, _THAT'S_ why Teddy Hart used to always bring his cat to the ring when he was in MLW!!!

My fave Bret WCW moment was when Goldberg speared him and Bret was wearing the steel plate.

Eric Bischoff handled Bret Hart's arrival to WCW about as well as the host handled putting on his hat that morning.

Still 20 some years after WCW folded, I can't help but think to myself how they were even able to ruin everything they had. From beating WWF in the ratings for 84 weeks to Russo putting the belt on himself and Arquette, there's an unending list of stupid ideas that slowly brought them down. Wrestlers from all levels on card could have benefited immensely from having two wrestling magnates in constant competition to choose from... 🤦

good for bret! i love seeing the videos you guys put up with him being funny! ive seen a lot of negative stuff online and a lot of hate about him being bitter and it starts to get to you to the point where you start to believe it. im glad to see him being the calm laid back guy that i always originally thought him to be! Poor guy has had it more rough that anyone i can think of in the business from a casual fan point of view
