It’s a transparent DAC, just like the way cheaper SMSL SU-1. The sound you are enjoying comes from the speakers.

My 2 cents the whole world was waiting for: no matter how good Geshelli sounds, I never ever (and I'm really careful with that words) would choose a Geshelli component due to its awkward looks. Even if perfectly build, at the end it looks like DIY. I left this phase behind me...

So very excited you finally got one! I hope it is the AKM499EX with Sparkos OpAmps. I really look forward to your insights and comparisons. A really cool addition to the review would be the story of how it came to you as you had to deal with custo9ms, import fees, etc. that delayed it by at least a year or more....

J2S is solid. I wish I had the newer AKM chip, I have the previous version. I did upgrade with the sparkos ss2590s and love it. Can’t wait for reviews of the Dayzee flagship DAC and Zoofa amp to start rolling in!

You just wanted to show off that sweet looking volume knob on the Acoustic Invader piece... I've only seen that one on their Dac.

can you clarify in the review if there is any difference between usb and coaxial /optical inputs please, not sure if the amanero chip is doing a translation to I2S and if that affects sound, either way thank you for your awesome reviews
