DMR is an interesting one for emergencies because it's trickier to just hand somebody a radio, even another ham, and when/if comms go down it's usually the digital side first that fails. You have to practice, practice, practice and honestly I always suggest trunked if you can manage it so that you have more control over your local comm tree.

Minus the obvious, programming cable and ideally a non-internet laptop or tablet you can program from.

9mm lol. Otherwise, a headset with a Bluetooth ppt, spare battery, solar charger, hotspot for talk groups, and a roll up J-Pole antenna.

At least one encryption capable DMR HT per [unit/group/team] with a weather resistant holster, at least one encryption capable mobile DMR radio & power supply, appropriate antenna(s) systems for all, Some way to elevate a vertical antenna when using the mobile as a base unit, spare batteries for all (48hrs+ worth), some way to recharge the batteries (prefer solar generator, 500w or larger with enough PV panels to recharge within one day at 50% sun).

This supposes there is budget and cargo capacity for all that -- which is **not** a trivial hurdle to clear. But since we're spit-balling, it doesn't hurt to "what-if" a solution.

Btech btech amp-v25d or the UHF model as appropriate for your area/group and a battery for times where you need more watts. Also a roll-up Jpole and a means to get it up high.
