Awesome to hear someone actually sharing God’s word with the gardening. Just started a new section garden by dumping tons of wood chips on clay lawn. Would love to see how fast the wood chips break down after a year.

My mother just sent this channel to me and I love it already. I started my journey towards changing my soil for gardening here in Ohio with worm castings, sand, organic material, and horse manure.
I look forward to seeing more of your videos. As always, keep God in the center. May his grace and favor rest on all you set your hands to do through obedience.

You’re a great presenter. Love your sense of humor. I’ve been gardening my whole life. Vegetables in the beginning, flowers in the middle and back to vegetables with my flowers.
Zone 4b-5. I’ll stick with 4b for now. At 63 I’m doing raised beds now. No longer bending and stooping.
Happy planting and harvesting.

Love the message at the beginning! I’m working on improving our clay/rocky soil. Hard to find safe manure so I got some rabbits to help with that. Not quite the scale I would like but it helps. I would like to see the comparison results and ways to keep the weed pressure down. I heavily mulched with wood chips but the weeds just took over. Thanks

I also love the message and its so true about faith. Patience is key. I would like to see a spring garden preparation video from you or the top 5 things you plan to grow in the spring. My father use to doubt my methods of using organic matter and I grew corn in a new area of my backyard that had years of woochips and leaves layered on it. I low-tilled it by using a shovel and I didn't need any fertilizer for the entire season. The proof is in the pudding when haters have something to say. I also use to have heavy clay.

I too am trying to focus on soil health first. 🤞🏼the plants will grow.
Good video.
1st time viewer. Watched since it was on soil health.
Continue showing us what you grew and will grow.

So glad I stumbled across your channel! Love the intro to this video. Especially the mini sermon and how you tied the gardening process to the good news of the cross. I recently found a source for llama manure to add to my garden. Living in a high desert open range area surrounded by federal forest land...most cow and horse manure is tainted due to the "certified weed free" requirement for livestock. Ugh. Future video idea? Maybe something on watering in a dry/desert/drought climate?

I’ve been enjoying your videos. You have great “presence” on the screen. Keep on doing this. You’re very good at it!
And yes, please enter me in the giveaway. I just spent $125 on a grow light setup for my seedlings and I need more money for supplies!
Again, keep up your good work!

First time watching one of your videos. I really enjoyed it. We just bought a farm and there is no soil to speak of…it’s rock hard red clay. We’ll definitely be focusing on building soil for a while. I’d love to see videos on animals that you can keep on your farm to produce your own manure, so that you know exactly what you’re getting (rabbits, goats, chickens, etc), and how to utilize/age that manure.

Love seing the transformation of that evil clay. Im dealing with a similar situation but on a much smaller scale. Would love to see you grow a cover crop of some kind and discuss the benefits of different cover crops for soil health.

Your awful clay “soil” that you started with gave me flashbacks to how terrible ours was. We’re in suburbia and what wasn’t that awful sludge was straight up crushed rock fill. It was a nightmare. Slowly but surely, we are years in at this point and more compost, leaves, and woodchips than I could even quantify added. Finally growing great food from rich, soft soil. Faith + PATIENCE. I’m hoping to see more content geared toward establishing perennial crops and how to continue to enrich and develop the not yet perfect soil they are planted in. Thanks so much!

The Lord has been teaching me around Matthew 17:20 recently and just before that, Matthew 13:31-32. And in the middle of His lesson plan, I click on your video thinking I would get soil tips, which I did. But, I simultaneously got confirmation of what He has been showing me in a way I could more easily understand - super heroes (and sheroes)! He is such a great teacher; and so are you! Thank you very much, able teaching assistant. And thank you also for leading me to Hebrews 12:2. The lesson continues...

My two grandsons wanted to experiment making pottery so they got a bucket of soil from our garden and added water until it was a soupy mess. They screened it through some hardware cloth, and finally through some old curtain cloth until it resembled the clay that potters use. They formed this stuff into different shapes (animals, bowls, etc.) and let them dry in the sun. Then they put them down in hot ashes left over from a fire pit that evening. Next morning they uncovered their pieces to find that they were nearly perfect pieces of clay pottery. I had been gardening in that spot for many years and didn't realize the clay content that the soil had. Of course, I had amended the soil each year with leaf mulch, wood chips, cover crops...and FAITH) and always had a good garden but the ingredients to make pottery was always there. My grandsons taught me something! Enjoy your videos!

This is the first video that I have seen of yours. I really needed to hear that mini sermon. Thank you 😊

I love videos about soil health and restoring soil life. I'm a terrible composter and would like to see compost videos.
