I have been to China many times and there are many negative things I can tell you as much as I love China, but of cos, there are a lot of positives too. But then we must bear in mind its a 1.4B people country and they are constantly changing and evolving and improving. So i always took the negatives in its stride as its not easy managing that many people and as long as they are improving, going forward and upwards, that's what matters. I have been to many countries and China is about the only country I wanna visit yearly nowadays.

I love how safe China is. I lived in a big city for a year and traveled all around the country I never had any issues at all. People were so friendly and I could walk around alone at all hours safely. In the UK however, I’ve been mugged, assaulted, scammed, verbally abused, harassed by homeless people, my wife has been sexually harassed and racially abused and i have witnessed so much crime and aggression in city centres usually at the weekend. People are very unfriendly, no one even talks to me unless they want something, things are unbelievably expensive and the media/politics is toxic.

I wish I could live in China again. In China, I made so many friends from all over the world and learned so much from Chinese people and their culture. I also respect the CPC and support most of their policies. They are run by sensible, intelligent people, the west is run by morons who win popularity contests called “democracy”…

Rivers in uk has a raw sewage pollution problem. Over the summer the public were advised to not swim / bathe or skinny dip in river waters in UK

China is still a developing country, thus she still lags behind UK in many aspects. China catches world attention because people just suddenly found out she has progressed so much in the past 20 years and now we love to compare China to countries in the West.
Anyway China is catching up. The system in China is making progress in every 5 years and recently there are projects that target to finish in 2069. One thing for sure is the people needs to make progress too, like no more ripping off tourists…

For context, all Chinese buildings are sold with the interior unfinished. It is up to the owner to hire whoever they want to finish the house according to their own specifications. Therefore there will be quality challenges because all the houses are finished by different teams. So you could go next door and they could have a superiors finish because their contractors were experts.

lee, i thought you would stop for a while as you told us a weak ago about your health problem. i would like to suggest to you that in addition to seeing western medicine doctors in china, you can see traditional chinese (TCM) doctors at the same time. you can ask TCM doctors to complement western doctor treatment and to alleviate the side effect of western medicine treatment. there are multiple TCM hospitals in china in cities like shenzhen, guangzhou, and any other bigger cities. TCM hospitals have cancer specialists and medical teams to co-treat a patient. in addition, a TCM dodtor will advise you more on how to take care of yourself in terms of your body type, what to eat and what to avoid, how to boost your immune system... trying TCM will enrich your experience in china. good luck! dont worry too much as your problem is contained and should be easy to treat.
