Tywin is one of those characters in the show who is static. His hair never changes, always wears similar clothes, and his character doesn't change throughout the show. He's a constant, and it works.

Tywin is honestly the most terrifying character in the show, even more so than the Night King or the 3 dragons. I don't think anyone but Charles Dance could have played him so well. Even Joffery, as mentally insane as the character is, knew not to cross him.
