Locating underground gas pipe using ground penetrating radar
Показать описание
On the western side of Victoria, the gas company provides a free locating service.
They will come out and locate the gas mains in the street and also the gas service from the street to the gas meter within the property.
They won’t locate the gas from the meter to the house, which for the majority of properties is not an issue, as the meter is next to the house. However, on some properties, the meter is not next to the house. In these situations, we can help.
If the gas pipe from the meter to the house is copper or if it is plastic but has a copper trace wire buried alongside it, then we can simply hook the locator up to it and locate it.
If however the pipe is plastic and there is no trace wire then it is a lot harder to locate.
In this video, you will see we have been able to locate the pipe with the ground penetrating radar.
