I loved the movie, and I totally didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I was just really pleasantly surprised, and I was strangely on the edge of my seat watching it the whole time because the characters actually have some depth. I felt invested in the friendship portrayed between the 2 main characters and, despite Tommy's shortcomings as an actor, I feel like there was genuinely a lonely, hurt person inside the weird, brash, and often rude persona. Like you said, I don't think this is the beginning of a Tommy Wiseau acting career, but more like the pinnacle of it; this is as much as a director is going to get out of him. On the other hand, Greg Sestero certainly has a possible shot at bigger, better things. I can't wait for Vol.2, I love to see these actors interacting!
