Pattern of "cultural" behavior, unfortunately. My youngest sister graduated from a predominantly black high school, and the ceremony was held in a local theater. They had police there as security. The people sitting across the aisle from us were very rowdy, and even brought an air horn in with them. They blasted off the air horn when their graduate was crossing the stage. My baby daughter was screaming in my face, on my chest, in terror from the noise. I snatched her up and ran out with her. That group whooped, hollered, and laughed at the crying white baby.
Absolutely despicable. No consideration for anyone else.

This is why as a black man I don’t attend majority black events, institutions, cities, or restaurants. It’s always somehow ruined by individuals with insecurities and low emotional intelligence. It sucks, but it’s reality.

My friend went to Howard prior to law school and told me she was bullied and had racist comments hurled at her almost everyday. She IS Black, but from Guyana. She is dark, but mom was a light skinned Guyanan. Dad, also a Guyanan, but of African descent. She spoke three languages, is brilliant, spoke proper English and finished in the top of our class at Georgetown. I never understood why she was tortured at Howard, but over the years, I have found out.

I'm here in Texas. I attended a graduation ceremony for doctors. One Republican congressman who graduated asked to attend. He was actively booed by half of the graduated doctors who waved Palestine flags and lgbtqia flags. Apparently people were not ok with him because he was very anti abortion. Where is the respect from students? Where is the respect for life. I was deeply deeply disturbed.
