The Mediatek Dimensity 9000 Is THE FUTURE!

The Mediatek Dimensity 9000 is the world's first 4nm smartphone processor, system on a chip! Everyone has heard about Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, and Apple A-series and M-series chips (Apple Silicon), but the Mediatek chips have had a bad reputation amoung a lot of tech reviewers for a very long time. Well that all changed with the Mediatek dimensity chips, and now the Mediatek Dimensity 9000 is here to make more waves and positive changes and hopefully create some awesome, powerful smartphone experiences in 2022. The Dimensity 9000 chipset is every bit as powerful as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and it's way more powerful than the Snapdragon 888, which is very impressive! The 2021 Dimensity chips like the Dimensity 1200, and aDimensity 800 have been excellent processors and Xiaomi has been using them in it's Xiaomi phones, and even POCO and Redmi have been using the Mediatek Dimensity processors with great success and even 5G!

If there is one thing I always hope from Mediatek, it would be them publishing the source codes of their chipsets. While Mediatek can give Qualcomm some serious competition, they stand no chance in the world of custom ROM. I'm not surprised to see a three or four year old flagship Android smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset is still alive with the latest version of Android thanks to custom ROM community. Mediatek-powered smartphones, even with the flagship-tier chipsets, can never enjoy such a privilege.

Came here from TechAltar’s video about Qualcomm’s abusive rise to dominating the smartphone chip market. It’s about time Mediatek took the fight to Qualcomm with its high-end chips now. Mediatek can also consider partnering up with AMD to get RDNA2/3 graphics baked in as well as long as Samsung doesn’t have exclusive rights to Radeon on mobile SOC’s.

Yes the 4 nanometer process of making a chip is very interesting and not many other cheap manufacturers have that technology or that fabrication process but the only difference we did the immensity 9, 000 chip and the Snapdragon it gen 1 is that the camera modules supported one goes up to 200 MP while the other goes up to 350 megapixel so there isn't a massive gain or leaping development

I like competition in the tech world 🌍 because it does make others who's ahead stay on their toes towards improvement.

On paper, D9000 should outclass in CPU (higher clock speeds, larger cache and faster RAM) and ISP performance, but S8G1 should still have advantage in GPU, AI and modem. Interesting times for sure.

The OnePlus Nord2, vivo x70 pro had dimensity 1200, which is very close to Snapdragon 870. And rumours say nediatek 9000 to come in OnePlus 10R

This has been a long time coming. Qualcomm had caused Android flagship pricing to skyrocket because of what they charge for SoC. So happy to see the success of tensor, exynos, and now hopefully mediatek. Flagships skyrocketed in a price a few years ago and one of the main reasons is Qualcomms pricing.

Absolutely concur.

Great to see more options in mobile computing solutions.

And Mediatek has been absolutely killing it, of late, especially with their Dimensity line up of 5G enabled SoCs.

Even the Dimensity 700, which brings up the rear of their Dimensity stable is a better chip than Qualcomm's Snapdragon 480 equivalent.

Looking forward to seeing more Mediatek chips in always connected PCs, in the form of Chromebooks.
