The advantage that Dimensity 9000 has over 8 gen 1 is a very important one Imo and that is its impact on battery life..What concerns me is the throttling..But there'll be much more to learn about D9000 on the Indian version..

i think that sd 778 and 870 are still the most better optimied chipsets... hope snapdragon do something on the upcoming 8 gen 2 or the successor of 8 gen 1, m preference always snapdragon. and i dont have money to spend on true flagships so for me midrange chipsets like 778 and upper midrange like 870 are the best.

I think it's miui thing.. Miui always throttles..
If iqoo or other brand launch with dimensions 9000.. Things can be different..
& about the game support, I think that's not an issue bcoz dimensity 1200 supports 90 fps in bgmi..

We need to check 9000 on phones other than redmi. If even then it throttles exactly like in this case...then those bashing Samsung's 4nm for throttling prolly will not have a good time

Actually throttling issue isn't from TSMC or Samsung Foundry issue. It's due to ARM Cortex X cores. As per some sources, ARM Cortex is suitable to Laptops and PCs. Not phones that's the reason of over heating.

This doesn't really matter since phone companies lock the chip performance on games except benchmark tests so when running benchmarks there are differences but when playing games the 2 will have about the same specs because its locked to a certain performance...

I knew from the BEGINNING that it wasn't samsung's process node! It's arm's core design. The reason apple can get such insane efficiency is because they work closely with arm. Samsung recently announced they will work on making their exynos chips 100% tailor made for samsung phones specifically. Hopefully they will work closely with arm to provide a similar experience to apple.

I hope ypu revisit this once the Dimensity 9000 is launched globally, when it is available in other phones and when Redmi, Xiaomi or Poco that comes with it is properly updated and optimized. Seeing as its new I don't think Redmi has it optimized yet.

Nobody who is purchasing a 50000K phone will push the phone to a level of a stress state, and a better battery is an important factor to consider, as during the stress it drains the least, imagine on normal conditions the battery life will be phenomenal!

snapdragon still much better than mediatek not only from performance for gaming but for isp image signal processor is much better snapdragon, snapdragon always great for photography even exynos 2200 has lack too, so snapdragon has much better overall than mediatek from all categories not just performance gaming

8Gen 1 will be available from TSMC as well. That would be apple to apple comparison.

I see battery life is more for RedMI phone, but I see a big difference between the Samsung display panel and Redmi display panel, is it not the case?

I think Redmi/Xiaomi is responsible for the throttling issue here and not Mediatek.
