How to Preserve the Unity of the Spirit | Costi Hinn | EP 151

Unity is hard to come by in the body of Christ, but it doesn’t have to be that way. At the same time, we should never sacrifice truth in the name of superficial unity. When it comes to the work of the Holy Spirit in the true body of Christ, we may differ on some secondary doctrinal matters, but if we share a common Lord and have been baptized into the same body, we can experience unity in the midst of some differences. In this episode, Costi Hinn unpacks 4 principles that can help us preserve the unity that the Holy Spirit provides.

Thank you for this video. I just pushed back against a preachers message about unity and comparing it to sports teams. I asked how much sacrifice should one allow for the sake of unity. Wolves take advantage of meekness and will terrorize the innocent. He has no idea where that line is. The answer was in the video. Unity should not compromise the truth. God bless this ministry.

This has been a blessing to me. I have been guilty of all these things. I'm a Pentecostal and I am very concerned with many things going on the movement. I'm trying to be a Biblical Pentecostal and biblical in all things. Sometimes that is a lonely road. Thank you for this podcast.

Very well said Pastor Costi, I keep my charismaniac friends at bay because if I hear....we felt the presence of the Lord or there was a strong anointing or the Lord showed or told me I feel like punching them🫣🫣🫣Thank you for the good work you do, may the Lord shower you with His grace and mercy and my your ministry go from strength to strength.

Thanks for your wisdom Pastor! One thing I was continually thinking in way of application…a humble suggestion to your friend, Pastor Strachan, to extend this gracious, non-broad brushed willingness to listen, and come to the table with men like John Harris. That would be a beautiful picture of Christ-like humility for a lay-people like me to witness :)

I like this guy- it must have been quite a disadvantage to be Benny Hinns nephew. People will think that you’re if the same spirit as him however this isn’t the case, Costi seems to be quite straightforward and upright and loves the Lord without all the rubbish of the prosperity rubbish- May Gods bless you Costi and May God keep showing you the truth

Wow!!! Costi, I hope this video goes viral and the Holy Spirit will open the eyes and ears of everyone who sees and hears it. I needed to hear this like i need the air I breathe, lol
God's conviction and discipline are truly edifying and refreshing to the soul. I am thankful that God is using you to share these wise words.
Ill have to figure out a way to put this video on speed dial, when I'm about to leave a comment on YouTube I'm gonna stop and listen to this first 😂😅

Shalom and blessings Costi. I pray that you and yours are well brother. Thank you for the upload and the edifying Holy Spirit series. Question brother, if I may? You spoke about 'the true body of Messiah' in the video. Do you honestly believe 'Remnant Radio' are of that body, understanding who and what they promote, and that they are not 'Damaging the body of Messiah'? Thank you. Every blessing.

What the Bible means by “Unity of the Spirit” and what most churches mean when they say it are two different things

Interesting observations and helpful in relating to one another. The thing that most don't seem to realize is that most things related to doctrine are subjective. Heresy is subjective. If you don't believe what is commonly accepted as truth in my camp, you are a heretic. If you don't believe and operate biblically you are incorrect.
The problem is your biblical "truth" and mine may be quite different based on many factors. Bottom line is, what any person believes to be indisputable biblical truth, is their interpretation and perception of what they believe the bible is saying.
Quite an interesting topic.
You mentioned a couple of heroes of your camp, MacArthur and Sproul, who disagreed on eschatology. So, is one or both of them unbiblical?
It is my personal belief that scripture CANNOT be understood academically or by diligent study alone. If it could be, the religious leaders of Jesus' day would have known it. They knew the language that scripture was written in, they were schooled in theology, yet according to Jesus, they did not know God, and the word of God was not in them.
So, like it or not the doctrine and theology of the many religious camps today, is subjective rather than objective.
