I'm glad I found this! I've always known how to count change back, but when those rare customers give you that extra change, I always have to get that calculator. It always throws me off. No one ever taught me this! Now I know, and thank you so much!

this one was really helpful! when i used to work a customer gave me extra change and i was stunned, my system already put the total out so i couldn’t go back to change it!

Thank you so much! I’m number dyslexic which it’s called something else but this visual made absolute sense!!! When I was in school we weren’t taught how to count change back or even how to balance a checkbook and today it’s even worse

I only had to work a register a few times at fundraiser stuff for my parents' hobbies, but as a VERY shy and math-troubled teen, it was my own personal nightmare. Yes, I'm sure I went through a segment on counting change in elementary school, but honestly, I think it only involved adding proper currency to make the correct target amount. So when I was suddenly thrown to the wolves to make change, I was as clumsy as could be about it! 🤦‍♀️ THANK YOU for acknowledging that some people just are pests (here's looking at you, ornery older guy who ordered a bratwurst in German just to fluster me more. 😠) I wish I'd had a chance to watch this first; it's a way better technique than whatever lame thing I came up with!

Thank you! My boss showed me how to count up, but I'm horrible at math and anything that's not a round number makes me reach for a pad and paper. 😭 This filled in the gaps. ☺️

Why take off change I don't get that part
