Thank you for watching our ear wax removal video today. The ear wax extraction featured in todays video was carried out using endoscopic microsuction. This procedure uses a small camera called an endoscope to visualise inside the ear canal whilst a small suction tube is inserted to gently remove ear wax.

All the ear wax cleaning videos you see on our channel are carried out by our ear wax specialists Mr Rhys Barber and Mr Taylor Green.

Ear wax plays a vital role in ear health. It helps to prevent ear infection and helps with ear cleaning by picking up any dirt or debris that accumulates in the ear canal. Normally this ear wax would fall out of the ear taking any dirt or debris with it.

How to remove ear wax?

Many people use q-tips/cotton buds for ear wax removal at home this is one of the worst things you can put into the ear as this can lead to an increased ear wax buildup or in extreme cases impacted ear wax. The best way to remove ear wax is to let your ears clean themselves and not to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ears!

How do I know if I have an earwax blockage?

If you experience a change in your hearing, discomfort in the ear or jaw or a feeling of fullness in the ear canal you may have an ear wax blockage. Our advice is to speak to your Doctor or local Audiologist who can take a look in your ears and assess whether ear cleaning is needed.

Another American coming to say that I never feel like you are treating us like we are stupid. I enjoy the explanations, and you do a great job of educating and entertaining at the same time!

American nurse practitioner here. No need to apologize. You don't over-explain anything. I enjoy the passion you have for your work. Don't change a thing.

I REALLY think people need to stop over reacting to having anything explained in detail. That’s why we come here isn’t it? To listen to and learn from these well educated men who are very gifted clinicians EXPLAIN what they are doing.
It is not the job of content creators to manage the insecurity of any given viewer. They are never condescending. They appear to be very kind, caring, compassionate men who have lovely manners and charming accents.

Seriously. It’s okay to learn. A lot of the procedures allowed in the UK are difficult if not impossible to find in the United States. So please-EXPLAIN AWAY!!! Most of us appreciate any and all explanations y’all care to give! Thank you for your time and the energy you put into these videos! 😊👂🏼 ❤

🇺🇸 Things I’ve learned from this awesome channel…
1. ‘let’s just Hoover this up’
2. ‘quick tidy’
3. ‘this wonderful gent, bless him, hasn’t been able to get to clinic since…’
4. ‘gain some purchase’
5. Turbo wiggle
And how professional and caring you both are. Love and appreciation from New Jersey!

Mr. Barber PLEASE don’t EVER apologize for educating us here! We LOVE your explanations and your GREAT banter and when you are alone you do GREAT! *anyone who cannot appreciate you trying to share your British-isms to those not in the UK needs to sit down with a nice cup of tea and generally refrain from commenting. My family is all Canadian from Newfoundland-I am the only American born in the US. I’ve been to Wales and got myself in quite the pickle trying to teach a bartender in the Albert and Victoria Pub how to make White Russian drinks… I am fairly certain I embarrassed my American self. My husband had to fireman carry me up the street to our hotel… a night that will live in infamy! Everyone was so kind and patient with my American self-my Canadian Mum was mortified. My Da-he was very very quiet. I will have to return to redeem myself now that I am older and wiser. *spoiler-the bartender knew very well how to make them, he was humoring me* 😂😂😂

American here: I like when you guys explain and talk. 🥺 I don't feel dumb OR insulted. I'm a nerd, and a geek, and sometimes a dork. I love learning and hearing what you guys have to say about your cases. I have questions and the more commentary you do the more answers I get. Please don't stop talking. I need to know what you have to say. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙂

Edit: WELCOME BACK TAYLOR! We missed you🥳😊
