I recently purchased this tent for as low as $100 and it has served me well on many outdoor trips. It's very easy to set up and store, self standing, double wall, skeleton structure for fast pitching and it's also very windproof and rainproof. It is much cheaper and absolutely the same as the 3F UL Gear Taiji 2 Person tent :-) I really like this tent and if you plan on getting one I'm sure you won't be disappointed, especially for the affordability and flexibility.

If you compare this tent to a 2-person trekking pole tent, it will have the same total weight (tent + trekking poles)
sample weight: lanshan 2 + standard trekking poles weigh approximately 1.9 kg. in total

I've got this tent. I really like it, goes up really easily and plenty big enough for me and my large dog, but unfortunately there was an unexpected thunderstorm with horizontal hailstones last time I used it and it got flattened and flooded 😢 It still goes up ok but the poles are a bit bent now. I'll take it out again soon and see how it goes (but I'll be taking my tarp as well, just in case).

1.9 for 2 people is fair, the 2 persons allways share half the weight. I see on the past people with fancy tents...and then the weather make a turn over and going sleep. on hostels, is the price the people carry ultralight tents. Light is equal more money spend. very well done mousebear, i follow your channel, and you make well.

Great review, thank you. Actually bought one before I saw your video but they seem to have good reviews all over youtube. Ironic that it's a Chinese copy of a Chinese copy of a western tent that's made in China!

Where did you find this tent? The one on the Night Cat homepage looks different and is much heavier.

Sorry, despite the nice video but your weight comparison to the lanshan 2 aint correct.
If you do the math with walking sticks (which you only take with you if you need them, so you have to add them to The Cat's weight as well
hiking pole ; 456 gr (Decathlon stuff)
tent 845 gr.
pegs 144 g.
Makes a total of less then 1.5 kilogram.

With tentpoles (better comparison with this tent
tent 845 gr
pegs 144 gr.
tentpoles 214 gr.
Makes a total of just a little over 1.2 kilogram.

But my question. Do you know of any tent in this price range that is free standing with same weight as the lanshan 2? 1.2 kilogram

as advice - this video was far too long for any facts given. Also no illustration of practical headroom. Also, try not to swing the camera back and forwards. Frame, film, pause - reframe, film, pause - repeat. Just remember to pause your mouth when you pause the camera - it saves editing ;) Good Luck

Sorry but 1.9 kg is very far from ultralight.
"Ultralight" is under 600 gramms in todays world.
