Trainz wins the content and ease of creation. Yet fails in physics and a decent sound engine.

They tick a box for everyone. That’s why they are on sale. Want to make model railways to your spec and home or fantasy? Then it’s Trainz. Want to drive realistic cabs with fully working interiors and announcements, dynamic weather, timetables that you can drive all day, scenarios and be able to walk about like a proper train driver, coupling trains, applying handbrakes, walking full length coaches, with AI trains by the dozen coming in and out stations. Then it’s TSW3/4 There’s a bit in them all for us. I will never pick one over the other that’s stupid. If your a train buff, you own them all for particular reasons. Don’t go on about cost etc. I’ve picked up hundreds of pounds of content for a £11 in sales. Trainz 22 is currently on sale for about £14 inc the PE.
The thing that hurts Trainz is the crap 5KB/s on the DLS. There’s no need for archaic 56k modem speeds unless you pay up.
No other does this. I’ve had Trainz 12 since 2001 -23 YEARS and it’s existed since then

Hey, love watching your video. Just wanted to ask if you can do a tutorial on how to get the container and trailer to show up on the ab studios frieght pack. The only part I'm struggling with is to get the trailer and container to show. If you can do a video on it, it will make my day.

I am going back to MSTS because it is so much easier to create a session than the trainz.Everytime I try to run the train it goes backwards and the ai's don't automatically move, so difficult it is.I can't find where to operate the windshield wipers either.

not really a fair comparison honestly two are just a driver game and that's it, the other is a designer where you can make your own game passenger or cargo and route with thousands of downloadable content, trainz should not even be in the list as it's a different game altogether. like comparing a fishing boat to a ski boat it is a diffrent class ..

Secondly, Trainz doesn't produce Amfleets, or any other modern passenger locomotives.

Nice, thanks for sharing. I have TRS19, and now TRS22. I also have all the others (Run8 V2, TSW 2-3, TSC, SimRail, and Zusi 3). As I see It... If you want the real deal, then Zusi 3 and Run8 are the only one´s that will deliver. For eyecandy, TSW 3 and now 4, with some sim-cade stuff. SimRail would be up there with the real deal, but It´s a bit to early In It´s development. Trainz Is a do-it all game/sim that doesn't do the best In anything compared to other´s except building, and model building. In that regard It might even be better then EEPxx. It does all the rest well, or good, It sometimes shines over the rest. Overall It´s a great package and a lot of fun. Just my opinion here. BTW, how can I swap locos from a paid route with one of my paid RR Mods locos? Been a long times (since TRS19) that I did this sort of stuff. With TRS19 you could do It but you would lose the scenario objectives, I hope they changed that with TRS22.

Nice route but JR isn't great 3rd party content should be using RRmods they been around longer, and their content is much better. RRmods give's more bang for your bucks $$$ 4 different paint skins real in cab radio chatter as well as working MFD's with the ability to turn instrument lights, step lights and can Arm the EOTD as well as using distance counter. JR has No skins nothing in cab works only looking shiny & out of place. Trainz is so much better in so many ways, my number one reason why it's great is because it's Literary the only Railroading game on the Planet that has Endless Maps or Routes, my friends son built a route that if you drive at the speed of 80mph will never see the same place twice as the Map is so freaking huge that it takes 11hrs Real Time to cross it! being able to pull a 200 Car Manifest train in the more realistic mode and Not DC is quite a workout figuring out when to brake and when to add notches. Each there own but I prefer Trainz any day

Trainz was good for 2004 since 2010 édition. After trainz a new era i dont like. A lot of dlc. A lot of product created by community cant work After trainz 12... Trainz just good for create route. For simulation Train sim World are so better. Train simulator classic is so bad
