The Memorare Chaplet

Показать описание
The "Memorare Chaplet" is a prayer devotion seeking Mary's protection and asks for her help and mercy. The chaplet also invokes the sweet heart of Jesus, asking for peace, the conversion of sinners, and guidance towards salvation. It also seeks the protection of Mary's Immaculate Heart and concludes with petitions to Mary as the Immaculate Conception and Our Lady of Rosales.
*† THE MEMORARE CHAPLET † *(prayer text):
1. Recite the Apostles Creed:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
2. For each of the following 7 Petitions (For the Church, For the Priests, For the End of Abortion, For the Souls in Purgatory, For World Peace, For Our Blessed Mother's Intentions, For Our Own Intentions), pray these prayers:
Pray the "Our Father" one time
Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Pray "The Memorare" eleven times:
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Pray: O most sweet heart of Jesus, lead us unto salvation. Grant peace to the entire world, especially to this country; and bring back to you all sinners; and grant that they may find the path that leads to You.
O our Mother, protect us with your most Immaculate Heart. Amen.
O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
Our Lady of Rosales the Immaculate Conception, pray for us.
3. Conclude the Chaplet with praying the "Hail Holy Queen" one time:
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us, and after this exile show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
