IMO best song from the show - not that I don't like other songs, but there's something about it that I just simply love

lyrics

I ain't your average sicko
I'm dead, just like disco
My bank account is zero, zero, zero, zero, oh no
I think I need a hero (oh)
I don't have no ego (nah)
'Cause I'm spitting out now, woah (woah)

I was a teenage outlaw
With no worries on my mind
And now I'm getting older
My heart is growing colder, oh thats fine

I was a teenage outlaw
With no worries on my mind
And now I'm getting older
My heart is growing colder, oh thats fine (woah)

I was a teenage outlaw
With no worries on my mind
And now I'm getting older
My heart is growing colder, oh thats fine
Woah-woah-woah

this song is all fun and games until you realize that this song is foreshadowing the dark future of the show. The first verse of the song is, "I ain't your average sicko". this is obviously coming from David who says that he isn't average and he can handle chrome usage better than others. We could tie the lyrics "My bank account is zero, zero, zero, zero, oh no/
I think I need a hero" to David seeing the sandevistan as the hero that would bring him out of poverty. Finally, if we look at the chorus, "I was teenage outlaw, with no worries on my mind/ and now I'm getting older" These lyrics could be tied to how David lived a less stressful life than he does now with Lucy and his crew to keep safe. Also, "my heart is going colder all the time" could be tied with David adding more chrome to his body.

When David was going to school, if felt like I was looking at myself. I went to high school in Englewood and would literally travel from 1 side of Chicago (near Stony Island) to the other everyday. You start to become numb to all the crime (robbery, assault, murder) that goes on in the city, no matter how crazy it may seem. The lyrics at the end of the song truly sum up what I would be thinking. "You say its over...its just another day."

It's been such a long time since an anime has made me feel this way. Lost in thought. Haven't been able to think about much but what happened in the last episode, really.

"Walk the city - a montage" vibes, the beat reminds me of the Russian movie "Brat" (or "Brother" in English)
