I’m a beginner and appeared next situation: have 8 inverters and a transformer house and communication cables failed between inverter 7 ( online ) and next inverters from 6-> 1 (offline)

i guess i need to check the connectivity between inv 7 and inv 6, does that mean i should short the wires from inv 7 to find the bad wire at inv 6?

I dont understand the last test. If you are on the same side of the wire and there is no connectivity between the 3 wires, why does that indicate an open circuit? In a fully connected system without any open, there would also be no connectivity between the 3 wires.

why not testing the black and green (rather you tested red and green ) when they are specifically shorted in the case of far away terminals
