In this 19-minute monologue, we go on a journey exploring which movie star has the most pedestrian name, helping James figure out how to actually be friends with Chris Pratt, wishing our cameraman Joel a happy birthday and meeting Guillermo's backup drummer in case his wife goes into labor during the show. And eventually we cover some headlines, which leads to James learning about what a homecoming dance.

Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."

The fact is - James open dialogue & rapport w the band exceeds all other Host/Band rapport on any late night show.
He and Reggie's and The Band 's banter is not only the closest thing to Letterman & Paul -
It is, in fact, more welcoming, warm, refreshing and hilarious

Man, I hope this type of monologue will still be available when things are back to normal.

Can we please keep these types of monologues after quarantine??? They’re fantastic.

The more everyone pitches in randomly, the funnier it gets. No matter what they talk about

I kinda really like how this show is being more and more open about how unimportant headlines are for itself. By the time it airs, any jokes they come up with will almost certainly have already been made by like 6 other shows. And audiences have probably already heard at least 2 of them. So the only way to breakout is to just skip it and go for comedy based on something other than what's in the news.

This whole video is just like the kind of mental rants I have with myself at 3am when I can't sleep

Don’t Get me wrong I love all the late Night Monos but I Really Enjoy James Cordon Monos Because Everyone else just talks about the news they just talk about life

I keep saying this but I believe more and more that this show has become my favorite because of the banter between James and literally everyone in the studio. It's so relaxed and it feels inviting to watch instead of feeling like I'm watching a generic show.

Here are some things I loved about this:
1) The band trying to explain to James what Homecoming is
2) James's reaction being, "I'm thinking quite seriously about how long to educate my children here."
3) The fact that their conversations always make me feel like I'm high even when I've been out of pot for a couple weeks 💚

I think the difficulty might be because he keeps using the phrase, "I can't penetrate Chris Pratt!"

JC is so clever. That's Corden, not the other one. He knows that people like watching others just having fun. It's infectious.

We've gone a year now without being able to just sit around with a bunch of people and just shoot the s***. This is about as close as you can get. Love it.

This is why going off script is much funnier, because it's pure and natural! And the fact that he includes everybody makes it feel like they truly enjoy working together. One of the only talk shows that I enjoy these days!

I feel like James and these folks misses the pub so much during all this lockdown that they turned the show into something like friends in pub throwing banters and having just a blast of a conversation. Now we want that 7 hours of this, James. We definitely need it.
