The door latch switch were tested TODAY and they do have continuity. Do you think it may be the Control Panel just as the Tech said. He claims a load got stuck. What is weird is that when I shut the break off and then ON within 10 seconds, the water service TEST is successful (8 steps*from filling and draining to dry) which took abouy 7-8 minutes. What is your suggestion REPAIRCLINIC?Thanks for your prompt response .

This looks quite easy. My Maytag dishwasher works fine, but I need to prop something up against it (we use a chair) to get it to run. The door seems to latch fine, it just won't run unless we apply pressure to the door. Does this sound like it simply needs a new latch?

We have a Maytag MDB-5 dishwasher. All of a sudden, the door latch is VERY difficult to open. Feels loose and one has to really squeeze the latch the last bit to get the door open. Otherwise, it works fine.Thoughts?

There definitely could be a problem with your dishwasher's door latch. Test the switches on the latch for continuity. If they do not have continuity the dishwasher has no way of knowing whether it is closed or not.

My dishwasher has a CL Code which indicates "Close and latch door". The door is securely closed, but it does not allow any load to proceed unless i turn off the electric POWER and then ON. The 1-8 STEPS are successful)WATER TEST! I paid a specialist $40 and he said the Computer was not giving signals. I think he was BS simply for me to buy a used machine from him. What do you think?

Everything looks easy except the plug will not slide the electrical connectors off the thin metal bars. Is there a technique? I used WD-40 but it didn't help.
