Unfortunately, 2017 Toyota Sienna LE doesn’t illuminate the speedometer, tachometer and other gauges when the headlights are set to the auto or daytime running lights position. Running the headlights during the day in order to see the dash gauges makes the headlight assembly hotter in direct sunlight and will yellow the plastic headlights faster.

My Avensis (2017) still dims the dashboard when my headlights are on, even if it's bright day outside. I had to manually adjust the dashboard brightness to max so it doesnt dim.

Have you ever thought of labelling this feature? The dashlights of a Proace van are brighter than the headlights of a Ford Mondeo. But they label the dimmer.
