Where I grew up, in the mid to late 80s a couple of Salvadoran families started moving to my neighborhood. They were nice people, hard working too. One of my classmates became a science teacher. Where I grew up non of them were involved in the life.

I think you got part of your story wrong. In 2010 I was in 850 Bryant (SF County Jail) with both the 22nd&Bryant St. guy Marcos (AKA Kidd) and the MS guy Edwin. Kidd killed the MS guy in the daytime as the guy was attending church on 24th and Florida. There was a third Bologna son shot in the car by Edwin who was crippled as a result. Edwin usually sat next to me during breakfast at San Quentin and he got 180 yrs, not 50. Edwin actually feared his own Southsiders getting to him because killing Tony Bologna and his kids didn't just enrage the Norteños, it pissed off the politicians and the FBI too.

Great video but for sure much info was left out or incorrect. I’m from the bay (the city & now live in the east bay). I also lived in south central (near Hyde park & slauson) for 2.5 years and the Bay is no way trying to be like LA. It’s 2 whole different worlds! Believe me, I experienced first hand! Love both places tho! As a salvadorian, I even felt the LA salvadorians were different (lingo, style, mind set, etc).

Bro keep dropping these videos. As someone who's not in the streets it's good to learn the politics of every city. Us knowing that it's there this helps your everyday people respect and be weary of certain areas. This is modern day history class

Alexander Temaj was not killed because he was wearing red as a chef. They were on the bus and thought he looked like a Norteno and got off when he did and shot him twice. They didn't go to a restaurant and wait til he was off and then follow the bus in a car. They were on the bus already and thought he looked like a Norteno.
