Secretary General of NATO addresses U.S. Congress | FULL SPEECH

The head of NATO used an unprecedented address to Congress, marking 70 years since the alliance's founding charter was signed in Washington, to make a pitch for unity at a time of trans-Atlantic tension.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, speaking in the House of Representatives, emphasized the historic bonds that have enabled the United States and its European partners to preserve peace. That security partnership has come under strain, however, from President Donald Trump's questioning of the value of NATO .

Stoltenberg, a two-time prime minister of Norway, is the first head of NATO to address a joint meeting of Congress.

With 136 million more people, why can't EU be the backbone? Salaries about equal roughly, but E.U. people have more days off and better benefits across the board. More vacation time too, better for EU to take on their fair share of 61% minimum, and 70% would be much more FAIR seeing the decades E.U. has not done fair share. Notice how the Congress agrees with all he says, they KNOW for whom they are working.
