‘The Lord at first did Adam Make’ is a traditional English Christmas carol from the west of England. It was published in the 1822 carol collection 'Some Ancient Christmas Carols...Formerly Sung in the West of England', and there have been many arrangements of it since. The Royal Choral Society here sings an arrangement by its Music Director Richard Cooke, who conducts this performance, with Richard Pearce accompanying on the organ.

This was filmed in the Church of St Giles, Cripplegate, in the City of London in February 2022.
