The arm swing and hip rotation doesn’t look weird or maniacal at all. It looks confident, healthy, and attractive.

This is so good -I have Right side tight hip flexor-and you are right just stretching was not helping. I found your site and these video series - I tried the arm swing on my daily walk and already my pace improved, I am less winded up hills and felt like I was gliding - such a find! I am hoping to try more of your suggestions to continue to progress and work on my hips. Can't thank you enough.

Left peripheral field more limited.. YES!! I've even noticed this when I do imagery. I'm trying to expand it.

Great stuff Conor.

On the gait aspect when you swing the arm back you mention the whole arm internally rotates; does this mean the humerus internally rotates, the forearm pronates and the scapular externally rotates?

As someone who does fine-scale frame-by-frame gait analysis with every new client, one of the most missing elements of walking is the ability to get into the frontal plane in the body during heel strike phase. People get out of this phase way too quickly and never get that delay of getting into their pronation. They miss out on the crucial pronation phase of the gait cycle.
I also get people who tell me 'I've never swung my arm properly when I walk. People keep pointing it out and whenever I try to swing it more it just makes things worse'. They don't realize the arm swing is just an emergent property of missing movement elsewhere.

It is early to be sure but I have the feeling that changing my gait relaxed my scapular pain

Most people nowadays always carry shopping bags, brief cases, and pulling loaded suitcases/carry-on on rollers as they live their modern lives. There are rarely anyone ambling about swinging their arms anymore.😧

Omg I hope this makes me stop externally rotating my hip and abducting the foot causing pain.

Man I’ve been following your left AIC pattern videos for awhile and they’ve been great, but I still had tons of left groin fascial nerve tension. And I just found the BEST way to mobilize it. I spread my legs open a bit and then I turn my left leg into internal rotation at the hip, then I turn my torso into left internal rotation and with a tall spine, kind of bounce deep into the direction of my left hip. It increasingly causes all these tingling sensations and feels like it’s stretching open a deep fascial(?) hold. I’ve just discovered this and it already has given me results!
(Doing this sitting on a slightly raised surface as opposed to the floor seems to give me more leverage in the area)

Interesting. Could these drills help with running gait? Thanks

Hi mate, thanks for everything you do, really appreciate your videos. I've just started following your left aic blog post exercises daily, and i understand there are many sensory factors to take into account, but assuming im not PEC and just have a left aic/right bc pattern, how long would something like this take to fix if working on it daily? im following your recommendation of 3 sets 5 breathes daily, and is it a slow progression of my ribs and hips opening up or is it a snap thing that just "happens"? Not in a rush just curious to get some more info as i do experience some pain in the right rib area, hence what led me to PRI. Any info is appreciated, thanks again and much love from Australia, appreciate your work

So when im swinging my right arm up, should my right hip tilt backwards?
