Hats off to SNES drunk for his variety in videos. You can tell he loves this stuff and supports the communities that love it as well.

Also to actually contribute here… the dash in Link to the Past redux. I would have EATEN THAT UP as a kid! Dashing was something I’d just mess around with when I got the boots for the first time lol

I'm working on an addendum patch for A Link to the Past Redux which adds several things. (1) The ability to skip the title screen. (2) A functional shovel in the overworld. (3) The 1/4 Magic Meter upgrade, which was dummied out of the original game. (4) Silver arrows increase firing speed. (5) A shortcut is added between the castle moat and the smithy once you have the gloves. ShadowOne333 has been very supportive of this effort. I'm just trying to debug #2 right now.

EDIT: Oh yes, also you will get full hearts on startup.

Thank you for Secret of Mana Turbo. I was a part of that team (still is, I guess), and it's constantly getting updated. Well, it's been few months since the last update, but that's only because most of the intended stuff have been completed.

I want a patch that extends the snesdrunk intro

Super Metroid Redux includes an optional widescreen version and there are a few FFVI compilation patches so you don't have to download all 200+ manually.

There are also slowdown fix/improvement patches available for U.N. Squadron, Axelay, The Adventures of Batman and Robin, Aladdin, F-Zero, Super Street Fighter II, and Super R-Type.

That Arcana patch also essentially restores the original name of the game. The JP game is called Card Master: Seal of Rimsala, so it's a nice touch to do that.

Damn Clock Tower recently has been getting a ton of love o.O Nice to see that happening with such an epic game like that made for SNES.

It's just so heartwarming to see my childhood games getting so much love 30 years later. Great work, modding communities! You are loved by sweaty nerds all over the world!

I've been wanting to do a playthrough of Chrono Trigger lately, so that bugfix and uncensoring patch seems right up my alley. Always enjoy a different approach to a classic, even if it's just something minor; adds a whole new layer to the experience.

Arcana: Seal of Rimsala, Breath of Fire: War of the Goddess, and Super of Mana: Turbo are all extremely excellent improvements and I recommend all 3.

I will say (and surprised it wasn't mentioned) that Secret of Mana Turbo also adopted the Secret of Mana Reborn translation which, in my opinion, really makes the game.

The SAP team really a fantastic job with the translation and nearly doubled the memory for just the script. They absolutely should could get credit for his amazing the game is.

You know what @Drunk?

I dig that. The efforts you put into presenting those roms actually makes me want to replay Zelda, FF6, Chrono and Metroid. With all the missed game launches and crap that came out unfinished, imma go try those soon!

Thanks for bringing up those community works to a bigger audience

Thank you for highlighting these! Really helps with so many patches out there, and now that my household is moving to Everdrives and Retroarch, we can set up specific games for each!

This vid is really good timing. I'm getting pumped for BOTW2 and started playing through past Zelda's, Link to the Past is up next but i never considered patches. Seeing Link dashing around everything just blew my mind.

Super Metroid Redux is a patch I always use whenever I wanna revisit Super Metroid. It doesn't completely overhauls the game, but it makes the necessary adjustments to make it fit more in line w the rest of the series.
