I think people are missing the point. It’s not to keep a $500 gun secure from a burglar. It’s to keep it secure from your kids but still very accessible to protect your life when you catch them breaking in.

In the middle of the night a thief breaks in, holds a magnet next to it, and gets your gun before you can get to it and enter the combo. I despise these home electronic release security devices because actual security design gets thrown out of the window woth them installing solenoids in ways that leave the devices vulnerable to the most simple bypass attacks thinking security by obscurity is enough.

I'm alot less worried about that safe failing when I need it than I am it having some horrible security fault and a kid getting in. So many of these things have a simple bypass or are susceptible to opening after a good hit. That's usually LockPickingLawyer's approach with these too. I'm sure that tubular lock is easy to open with the right tool. But your kid probably doesn't have that. But they might have a rock to hit it with or a thin piece of plastic they can shove in the right spot.

Be better if it had an rfid reader and a bracelet or wristband with a chip so when u get close enough it automatically pops open.

I’ve had mine for 7 years and it’s amazing. I change the batteries probably every other month and it’s good.

You might want to turn off the beeping sound might be a little annoying it to a 3 o’clock in the morning when somebody is sneaking around your house

Can you mute the beeps??? If not, this safe is not a good idea. If someone has broken into your home in the middle of the night, you should never ever give away your position. Your position and of course your firearm are the best and really only advantages you have against an intruder.
