I won't waste time explaining my specific thoughts on the issue. I just wanted to say a couple of things briefly: I'm Italian, I'm homosexual and since this morning every time I think of the word "frociaggine" and the Pope it makes me laugh out loud! ps the word in question is not the best of expressions that anyone holding a certain position should use. Not everyone manages to let it slip but that is subjective even if socially it is "cleared" partly as a word. Everyone in Italy knows it and it is more or less accepted depending on the contexts and situations. I specify this for clarity. Although the Pope made excuses, such as the fact that Italian is not his language, it is impossible he did not know the meaning.

Nobody's perfect...i don't think he had bad intentions in his heart...let's show love and forgiveness because we are all sinners who need forgiveness too. God will be the ultimate Judge.

The Bible is clear on homosexuality, any sex outside of marriage and abortion. So if you follow the Bible it's not an issue. If you don't. Then do as you please. It's that simple.

From a biblical perspective, the whole issue is presented with great clarity. Homosexuality is a gross perversion of God's law. It is a serious sin. While I would never condone hate, the church does not have to apologize for strongly condemning such a practice. And when it comes to a gay pastor or priest. Well, that like having an arsonist for a fire chief. It's a ludicrous combination.

The slur was wrong on his part, and God loves all, but he hates your sin. God is very clear in the bible regarding homosexuality. Leviticus 18:22 says, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination. You cannot keep practicing your sin and think its ok. You have to repent (change of heart, stop your sin) and get freed from it
