Thing is, it doesn’t matter that it’s only 120, or 100, or 50 UA troops there. So long as they are there and can be active the Russians have to stay on alert. 120 Ukrainians can tie up many hundreds, even a few thousand Russians, because they could attack anywhere in the area so the Russians have to be ready to defend everywhere. If they concentrate their stores to make them easier to defend then St HIMARS can pay a visit, if the disperse their stores they have to guard many locations it’s quite beautiful really.

But "experts" said they wouldn't try to cross and It is a difficult task but they seem well organized and holding that head will be a huge victory. Ukraine will feel like everything is within reach if the Russians retreat and that head expands.

I am a bit confused at Ukrainian combat aims. I would have thought that reinforcing the initial 100 with more than 20. If you are going to cross the river make sure you can support those already crossed but put some more troops in and expand.
