I know it was on the news here in the UK that the Ukraine government put a "media blackout" in effect, during the Kherson offensive. It was mentioned about the same time it all started.

My opinion is that Russian claim of substantial ukranian casualties could be the thruth, ukranians and their supporters love to gloat about any and every success at whatever chance they get. And their relative silence is pretty worrying, they'll never be quiet if it was going as successfully as they'd hope to.
