A few people are stating ISO increments are actually available on this camera and certain speedboosters actually DO FIT! My bad about that!

What camera should I review next?

About the IBIS warping: You most likely have physical IBIS on as well as digital IS. The combination creates that warping you see there, and by turning the digital IS off and leaving the physical IBIS on, you can get rid of the warping you see.

Great review! I've been testing it as well and I ordered the Metabones speedbooster that's made for the gh4 and it fits so I think it must be the older speedbooster that's the problem. Also there's a trick for the ISO increments that you had to do on the gh4 also. Turn the camera to "p" mode and then there is a setting called "ISO increments" in the menu. Change it to 1/3. Then go back to video mode and you can now use the ISO like 250, 320, etc..again, great review, love your videos and loved that you showed footage from several different scenarios, keep it up!

As a a6000 owner, I was tempted to go with the a6500 when it came time to buy equipment for work.
After a couple months of research, I chose the g85.

The 4 main reasons...
1: I'm still not convinced Sony has solved the overheating issues.
2: Fully articulating screen with GOOD touch controls was a must. I never liked Sony's menu system. That flip screen is almost worthless (Only my opinion, but after using it for about 2 years, I grew to hate it). And Sony's implementation of the touchscreen on the 6500 is...from everything I've seen...well, not great to put it kindly.
3: Ability to record past 30min was a must. I think there's a hack for this for the Sony. Please let me know if I'm wrong on this. All I know for sure is that with the g85, I just stick in a card and it records until the card is full. I don't always need this, but I did at my last shoot. Had to place one camera in a fixed spot I could not get to until event was done.
4: g85 is $500 less.

The Sony has some nice features, and image quality is not one of it's problems. It's most of the stuff around that sensor that didn't work for me. My use case is currently about 70% stills, 30% video. But that is rapidly changing. The last event I did I spent 80% of my time shooting video. The quality from the micro 4/3 sensor is more than enough for our intended audience, 80-90% of whom will be viewing on a cell phone, or laptop. I'll eventually post some samples to my channel, but I've been way too busy at work actually using it :)

Been using G85 for a month now, and I'm loving it. Shot a couple of music videos with it and it has been a great tool to work with.

You can set 1/3 iso increments in camera

Yeah, go into the menu and you can set the ISO ev increments. I just found this out on my G7's. Turn the mode to camers (M, A, S, etc.). There is a "REC" menu that you cannot access in Video Mode. Go to ISO increments and change to 1/3EV instead of 1EV.

Great review--lots of info delivered with clarity. Excellent. I recently picked up the G85 and really love it---ease of use and image are super--and the main reason for picking it up (stabilization) did not disappoint.

Not sure what your issue was with the Metabones. I picked up the T Speed Booster XL 0.64x and it fit fine. No clearance issues at all.

Love the image and manual focus control so much on the 18-35 I bought a 50-100 1.8 (which drops to 1.2, not 1.1--weird) and the 24-70 2.8 (which drops to 1.9)--and they are super. (And this is the older 24-70--not the art series). I plan to use those on the GH5--when it is delivered. (I hear there might be yet another delay).

Just as an aside, I really like to shoot manual and use the focus assist--which works spot on with the 18-35 and the 24-70, but it is iffy--on again/off again with the 50-100. Again, weird. What's that about?

I understand your preference for the A6300/6500---but neither of those cameras seem as well built as the G85, and I've never been able to get happy with Sony color. I prefer Canon, but at least the Panasonic isn't...well, ugly. Believe me, I've really tried with Sony. It's just not happening.
