Early scholars assigned the Enuma Elish to a time period around 2000 BCE. Several contemporary authors propose a date that is approximately one millennium later. The precise date is yet to be determined.

Official science dismisses these stories as mere folklore and mythologies that lack any factual basis in the universe. Due to the striking similarities with the initial books of the Old Testament, particularly Genesis, it is necessary to consider the book as purely mythological, as some individuals already do. Consequently, I will write using the hypothesis that the Mesopotamian stories may also be founded on factual realities.
