Good video! Straight to the point. The other massive difference you will notice between 172s: they keep getting HEAVIER. The 172P with the O-320 is so slow to climb compared to my O-300 powered 172F. The 172P with the Penn Yann 180 HP STC makes it a bit better. The flaps also don't go down as far on the P models. I still love the 172Ps but they will never beat older 172s in terms of performance. I really wish my F model had manual flaps.. The 172s with the larger dorsal fins also perform terribly in a direct crosswind. The max direct crosswind I have ever done comfortably in my 172F model was 48 kts. In a 172P, 21 kts was about the max.

At the end of the video... Great explanation regarding the R-172K, Hawk XP and why you didn't include it in your video. I own a Hawk XP and understand that that airframe is certified under a different Type Certificate Data Sheet. (TCDS) Nice Job!!!
