But of course this is a retro gaming channel so it's not like we are going to talk about modern PC Gaming on the Steam Deck...we are going to talk about retro emulation...more specifically Atomiswave emulation! Using EmuDeck 2. Which is really just a different version of Dreamcast emulation.

On today's Steam Deck video I will go over how to get Atomiswave games running on your Steam Deck as Sega's final video game console is one of its best...and it had a variant version as the Atomiswave in arcades with some pure Sega hidden gems! Plus you really can't get enough retro gaming right? Flycast is an awesome video game emulation option that runs both Dreamcast as well as some Sega NAOMI and Atomiswave games...but this tutorial is just for Atomiswave!

Again I recommend getting a Dock for your Steam Deck as the process is MUCH easier that way!

But the Steam Deck is proving to be an amazing retrogaming handheld video game emulation machine and I love it! Emu Deck 2 makes things easy as well!

I use the JBCE 8 in 1 dock for my Steam Deck, I primarily use it as a charging station and to transfer files and its been working well for me so far.

Great underrated unit the Aromiswave is VGE. I love playing SNK's titles on the unit. I always wanted a consolized version of it to add into my collection bro. 8^)

I use the valve steam dock. My 26$ SABRENT dock would charge the deck and output video, but not simultaneously.

There are so many great Atomiswave games it's hard for me to pick my favourite. I enjoy Metal Slug 6, Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, KoF XI, KoF Neowave, Samurai Shodown VI, and Dolphin Blue.

I'm trying to play the Dolphin Blue game and followed your steps here but Retroarch launches instead of the game itself. I don't use Emulation Station as I don't have that many games. Any thoughts to get it to launch the game directly?

I watched your video several times and still Atomis Wave Roms won't load. Placed Bios files exactly like the video, placed Roms in Naomi folder. Still nothing with Dolphin Blue, it refuses to run. What could I be missing?

Not trying to be a hater or anything but I found a better method than this tutorial. If you get the Dreamcast Atomiswave ports and run them through the Redream emulator on steam deck I find the games run a lot better. The controls and graphics are a lot better using redream for these games because you can actually play in 16:10 and with hd rendering.
