First day of preproduction training the crew plus some sightseeing

I am thinking I am gonna set the formats of the videos like this for the future where the morning is going to be me doing some sling stuff on a beach talking about a few historical things then sharing what I can about being on set and then lastly, ending with some historic sites. Also sorry the videos are super short but anything longer than like seven or eight minutes takes forever to upload here so I’m gonna space them out in smaller videos I think. Hope you enjoy it. It’s been an amazing trip. I miss my family terribly, but it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Cape sounion is beautiful ! My wife and I went there when we were 18/19, not sure if you’re allowed to go swimming but it was July and hot so we found an enclosed beach and jumped in was so nice we missed our bus back to Athens!

When i was there, there is also further down the road the(or rather a) Temple of Athena, which was behind a small gate and it said: "Fortellis Secure Technologies" but there was only a rusty chain and a small padlock, me and my buddy could not stop laughing the first time we were there.

The Ancient Greeks were excited to have the sling: they figured with all the rocks they had, it was a strategic weapon.

Also, the "Amazon" sling would have been the foe of the Achean Greeks at Troy.

I've been there to the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion. I'm sure you saw this, but there's also a really nice hotel there right on the beach I would highly recommend to stay at some day.

This is so cool. While I was waiting to get my sling from hilltophurler I made my own. It took three attempts to get it right but v3 looks pretty good and works well and because I didn’t know what I was doing, mine was quite a bit thicker and heavier duty than the one I eventually got from Hilltophurlers. The one I got from Greg does work better than mine but mine can sling bigger stones.
