Over 7000 Diecast Model Cars

Pete Walton shares his awesome H.O. Scale / Gauge Model Railroad train layout he calls “The Great Midwestern Railroad”.

Pete’s built several layouts and had to take them down, however when he moved in this house in 2002, he made sure the house would have room for his passion, the trains. This layout designed to look like the 1950’s, which includes a farm scene, a city environment, bridges, mountains, and a Paddle Boat in the water!

Every area on the layout is complete. The engines, cars, and scenery on the layout are of the highest quality, all add realism, and just a wonderful experience to view.

This is just amazing!

This is not just a model railroad. It qualifies as a piece of art. The attention to detail as breathtaking. Mr. Walton, you are an artist!

The detail is incredible, and I can't imagine the thousands of hours of work it took to create all this! Kudos to the videographer, who showed us the entire layout continuously. Videos of most other layouts show bits and pieces without ever letting us appreciate the entirety.

I've watched hundreds of these types of videos, and while I'm no expert, this is in my top 2. There is not a mistake to be found; everything flows together; the detailing and enjoyment in viewing is spectacular. Neither under-done nor over-done!! 10 out of 10!!! Thank you!!

My dad did model railroad about 20 yrs ago, ever since this has intrigued me. This layout is by far the most detail oriented layout Ive ever seen. Absolutely astonishing.

The best part of this layout isn't the trains. Or the size... Or even the general scenery.

The best part is how carefully he's integrate the names of people he cares about into it. No name is out of place and to the casual visitor would go unnoticed unless pointed out. But the layout is littered with them, you can barely look in a direction without passing one. It's very touching and very nicely executed.

Maybe the best-looking layout I've ever seen and the production of the video is also first-rate.

This has got to be the best ever layout for scenery details. Superb and a varied arrangement of buildings and backgrounds. All I need now is a large basement, 20 years of time and money! Thanks for sharing it with us...

Awesome layout. love the idea of using the smaller scale to get the feel of depth, very realistic.

This is an awesome acheivement. I am amazed just how well Pete has managed to settle the buildings and structures into the ground. They are part of the world, not stuck on top of it. The passage of the steam loco and train over the metal bridge over the water is the best I have ever seen. Pete Walton - you are an incredible modeller. Well shot Lou!
