Born in 1964, there are some great memories here. Catweazle has always held a special place in my heart.

Catweazle living in the elevated water tank, thinking 'telephone' was "telling bone", because to him it looked like a bone that spoke. To young me that was the best thing ever.

Catweazle was one of the best TV shows ever made for children partly because it was also highly entertaining for adults. My dad enjoyed it as much as I did. Bayldon was outstanding in the role and the last episode of the first series is especially touching when Edward sadly realises this crazy old man is slipping back to his own time and will never see him again.

My favourite show of those you've mentioned is by far "Catweazle". What i remember the most, is not the content but the captivati ng theme tune. A highly memorable one at that. Thanks for the memory.

Growing up in Australia in the 70s and 80s I remember Catweazle would be on Tv during the school holidays and Monkey was on at 6pm before Dr Who, great memories.

1970s kids' TV is 100 times better than stuff aimed at adults today.

I must be one of those who has never seen Monkey! I do remember my parents watching the likes of David Nixon, Harry Worth and When the Boat Comes In. But as a kid, Catweazle was the winner for me. Heck, I even joined the fan club and shared a table with Geoffrey Bayldon at a celebrity dinner.

I really enjoyed this video Stu 👍

Timeslip was an excellent TV series, from episode 1 to the very last, each episode followed on from the other untill the twist at the very end...Tightrope was another excellent children's TV series that has been lost in time.
