As a long-time fan of this podcast and as Turkish person, I never imagined I would hear “babanın canına sıçayım” on the show. For some reason, it makes me feel proud😃

As a Turkish person, hearing a non-native Turkish speaker cursing is the most hilarious thing ever.

I’m Turkish, and these are curse words popular in the 80s, really nostalgic to hear.

You guys can't imagine how innovative the Turkish language gets when it comes to curse. Cursing in Turkish and speaking normally are so integrated into each other like php and html in programming :)

"You're just a big sandpaper baby who's got little feet and don't even know who cheek people are" took me out 😂 had to play this part 10x

Matt Gourley is a shining example of the consequences of ungoverned “yes and.”

I never thought I would be happy to hear Turkish swearing in a broadcast:) I have known Sona for years thanks to Conan O'brein and I liked her from the first moment I saw her. I know that she is of Armenian origin and that may be why I feel close to her. Even though there are problems between us now, we Turks and Armenians have lived together for many years in history. Our food, our traditions, our swearing have influenced each other and made us richer. That's why I was happy to hear these curses today:) Love to Sona and team coco from Istanbul❤

My grandmother always says “Canına köpekler işesin.” which means “May dogs pee on your soul.” And also for like a polite way to swear she would say things like “Ben senin sülaleni sinemaya götüreyim de getireyim.” Which means “I’ll take your whole family to the movies and back.” It’s always so funny to hear new curses in turkish and Nines’ (grandmothers) always have the best ones 😂

Turkish swears are very creative and fun to say lol. Also, I recommend checking out Turkish proverbs.

"Hay babanın canına sıçayım"
The way she said that sounds like a northern accent, Black Sea(Karadeniz) region from Turkey. It's an interesting place with people with reasonless anger :D
Kinda similar to Scotland imo, which explains why they using a similar backpipe insturment("Tulum" in Turkish) in that region.

One time my mom’s car broke down in the middle of a busy four-way intersection, and someone honked at her like there was anything she could do about it, and in all her frustration and fury she yelled HEY, LADY!

I love Sona going “you’re right” when Conan says she’s confusing Irish people with pirates
